White Collar Big Bang

Hold With All You Have (32K) - this link goes to the story post on DW, which also has links to the various other places where the fic is posted.
It is a wonderful fic; I was so delighted to beta it, and about 2/3 of the way through I hit a scene that made me go "... I HAVE TO DRAW THIS" so I asked if I could be her artist as well. :D
That said, it's an apocafic, so do heed the warnings; there is death and angst and more death. It's a lovely story full of friendship and adventure (and I'm really looking forward to reading the whole thing from the beginning!) but it's also, er, about most of the population dying horribly in a pandemic and the rest struggling to survive in a world gone mad, so obviously that's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.
My art is posted under the cut. The first image is a fairly generic cover; the latter two illustrate a somewhat spoilery scene from later the story. One of these images contains a graphic depiction of dead animals.

Penelope Weaving is Season One through Kate's eyes. I haven't read the entire fic (yet) since it wasn't done when I made the art, but I really loved the part that I did read. Obviously it's almost entirely between-the-lines and/or a very different take on canon events (since, for the most part, we have no idea what Kate was doing during most of season one), and there are a few places where it conflicts with my established headcanon, but it does a brilliant job of bringing Kate to life and giving depth and complexity to her side of the story.

Jul. 8th, 2012 09:02 pmSo I went and created a Tumblr. :D Everything that's on there right now is experimental -- I'm just figuring out how things work, playing with the available tools and so forth.
It'll probably be a mix of fannish and original stuff: fanart, "fine" art, comics, photos and such. I don't know how much I'll actually end up using it, but I'm certainly having a lot of fun playing with it so far! Anyway, feel free to follow me if you like, though things might be a trifle disorganized until I figure out what I'm doing. :D

casestory illustrations is for an original story, "Two Tales of Mystery and Meyhem from the Files of Raziel Towers" by clutzycricket, which is due to be posted on the 14th. I absolutely loved the characters and the worldbuilding in this one, although it wasn't quite finished when I received it to illustrate, so I'm looking forward to reading the whole thing!

Jun. 11th, 2012 09:57 amThe first of the two stories I illustrated for casestory is "The Sun, Half-Covered" by beccastareyes (Slayers, gen with very light Amelia/Zel), to be posted on the 12th.
The illustrations are not hugely spoilery for the story, although they're illustrations of specific scenes, so they'll probably make more sense in context. *g*
It was fun to revisit this fandom. I was hugely fond of Slayers in the late 1990s, when my roommate and I would borrow VHS tapes from one of her friends and get together with some of our nerd friends in our living room for anime viewing parties. Ah the good old days.

If you haven't read the story, you really should read it before viewing the art, because it does spoil the ending quite hugely -- and if you haven't read it, you should! My rec is here - it's sweet and funny and gently magical, and just all-around wonderful.

One scene totally branded an image into my head and I had to draw it. Since I don't know who the author is, I can't give it to them directly, but I did post a comment to the story. :)
This is only very slightly spoilery, but makes very little sense if you haven't read the story.

Rather large picture under the cut -- vaguely spoilery for the story, I guess, but only if you couldn't figure out from my past stories that John and Rodney probably don't make it to the end unscathed.( Big damn action heroes! )
