(& yay Justine! She and Thomas, they're messed up but they're heartbreaking, and I love how she plays her part to help him...)

Thomas and Justine happen to fall into one of my favorite couple types -- like Shido/Madoka in GetBackers, the gentle noncombatant and the tough guy with a hidden soft spot for her. Of course that's a massive over-simplification of their complicated dynamic, but combining that with the extremely star-crossed thing they have going (... they can't even touch!), and, to the extent that I get mushy about romance, I'm an absolute sucker for it. And like nearly all Butcher's women, Justine is a lot cannier and more resilient than she looks, and she's seen Thomas at his absolute, literal worst and still loves him anyway. I wonder what Butcher has in store for them; I'm not really sure how the star-crossed thing could be fixed short of getting rid of Thomas's demon side somehow (though there's actually at least one canon-compliant way it could be done, I realized on the re-read -- if the Unmaking that Harry got from the Winter Queen could have fixed Susan, then it could theoretically free Thomas as well! Though nothing is every that simple in Harry's world ...)

I'm so sad to have missed out on your recent Dresden squee - can there be more hours in the day, please?
Also; I can't get Side Jobs here. Unless I order it from the US. I am sad. (Though even if I could get it - see lack of time.)
You really do Thomas justice, you know. ♥

I wish you could join in the squee, too -- and someday I need to see Sherlock so I can join in your squee too! TIME. WHY IS THERE NOT MORE OF IT.
And, no Side Jobs, oh no! Um. I could buy one for you and mail it? XD I would be happy to do that, unless the shipping is more than you want to deal with. I get a discount at Barnes & Noble; it might still be more than Amazon, but if the alternative is not getting it at all ... anyway, just let me know if you want me to buy/send it for you. Of course, there is still the time issue ...
