I just posted my own offering for the help_pakistan fannish fundraiser to help the victims of the Pakistan floods. I am offering one fic of at least 2000 words in either SGA or Avatar fandoms. I specialize in team/friendship gen and canon pairings, but for this, I will write any pairing (f/m, m/m, f/f, etc). My bidding thread is here.

Many of you may remember that back in September I held a "ficathon" to raise money for divalea after her family lost their home in a fire. The response from you guys was fantastic; the total raised was $685, and that, along with other donations and contributions from family and friends, basically kept them afloat during a very difficult, uncertain time. (Among other things, she's self-employed, so losing the house meant losing all her supplies and ability to earn money.)

They are now in their new house and doing well, and thank you again for helping.

The donation incentives are *mostly* done. I still owe one non-SGA story and then a "redo" because the story I wrote wasn't really what the recipient had asked for. Here is a list of all the ficathon stories thus far, and the requests that they were based upon.

Once again, thank you all for your generosity -- and your prompts! It's gotten me to think around corners, try new things, and write some stories I'm very happy with, that I would probably never have tried otherwise.

Tazmy and Kodiak beta'd the first few chapters of this a loooong time ago, but I figure it's far enough along now to start posting.

This isn't entirely a ficathon story, but I realized that one of the last remaining ficathon prompts would fit beautifully as a plot development in this story, so rather than writing it as its own story, I decided to combine them into one.

Title: The Light of a Fading Sun
Rating: A fairly strong T/PG13
Spoilers/Warnings: This is an AU version of events diverging around the Siege. It contains heavy plot spoilers through Season 3's "Sunday". This is also somewhat darker/heavier than what I normally write, though not without its friendship moments.
Summary: Perhaps the only thing worse than blowing up 5/6 of a solar system is not blowing it up at all. Following the Siege, the characters drift apart ... but in their AU universe, the events on Doranda will have far-reaching and unexpected consequences. And theirs may not be the only universe affected.

Summary: Lucius had six wives and no children? Very unlikely. Two exiles discover unexpected kinship in each other, and Ford finds a shred of humanity in himself.

Okay, this is the other "hard" ficathon story. I'll warn you up front that, while not a deathfic or rapefic, this story is dark and violent, and contains a situation that some may find disturbing. I definitely backed off from going nearly *as* dark as it was possible to go with this concept, but I figured a bit of warning was in order.

Season/Spoilers: References to Phantoms; presumably takes place not too long after.
Summary: An alien device turns the team members against each other, on a desert world where the only rule is the age-old law of kill or be killed.

This is one of the "hard" ficathon stories that I mentioned, in that it's quite different from the sort of thing that I normally write (although, ultimately, it ended up ... not so much). Unlike most of my stories, this one is not gen -- it is het, and the pairing is Zelenka/Teyla. However, it's very mild het, with much more friendship than anything else ... it came out very gen-ish. *grin*
