Spoilers for White Collar season four, obviously, and some really vague ones from Jeff Eastin interviews regarding season five. (There's really nothing concrete out there yet, as far as I know.)

Enter the spoiler and fretfulness zone )

I am being HORRIBLE about spoilers this week! I know! *facepalm* but I went ahead and watched the promo clip for the next episode anyway.

And a comment - spoilerphobes beware! )
sholio: sun on winter trees (WhiteCollar-Peter Neal leather)
I decided to put this in a separate post so that people can discuss the other episode without potentially being spoiled! I generally avoid previews of the next episode like the plague, but in this case I watched about 2/3 of it.

Spoilers for the first part of next week's preview )
sholio: Neal from White Collar, hand on hat (WhiteCollar-Neal hat)
... and I watched another preview (not a new one, [livejournal.com profile] soteriophobe; this is the one I was discussing with you the other day). A VERY spoilery preview, I must add. Still, I have no few regrets. And no willpower, obviously. :D

All discussion and link to the clip is safely tucked under an LJ-cut to save you from spoilers. This post contains spoilery images of SPOILING! )

So I've finally figured out that I can't talk about this week's episode of Doctor Who without bringing up the spoiler I mentioned I'd run across recently, so I'll make a post all about that instead. (And I'm sorry, because I know full well how hard it is not to click on spoilers, even if you don't want to know! But I need to get this out of my system, I guess.)

Casting spoiler for future eps of Doctor Who, plus some talk about 6x07 )

EDIT: I wanted to add this edit at the top to make sure people read it -- I really am loving the explosion of gleeful, squeeful joy that's been happening in my comments lately, and the absolute last thing I want to do is dump a bucket of cold water on it! *hugs everyone* I just ... need to figure out a way that we can still have that without having some of my fun squashed too. Hence this post!

So. Spoilers.

[livejournal.com profile] naye made a wonderful post on spoilers some months back, which I am just going to point you to, because her take on spoilers is very similar to mine!

Basically -- I know you guys are having a lot of fun talking with each other in the comments to my posts, okay? I've always enjoyed seeing people having their own conversations in my comments and I really, really don't want to spoil your fun! But I don't want to have my fun spoiled either. I know that you all have seen the whole series, and want to talk about it! I really can't wait 'til I've seen the whole series and can talk about it too. But I'm not there yet.

And one thing that [livejournal.com profile] naye points out in her post is that, because she and I are such dyed-in-the-wool spoilerphobes, maybe we're a little out of step with the rest of fandom as to what constitutes spoilers for us? It's not just "Jim Bob dies in episode 3!" Everyone has been very, very good about avoiding spoilers of that nature, and I really do thank you for it! :) But it's also subtler stuff, mood-spoiler stuff.

Perhaps most of fandom doesn't even think of these things as spoilers. But these are the kind of comments I've been getting that I would really appreciate it if you guys would try your hardest to avoid:

- "You'll have a completely different take on this scene/that character when you've seen the rest of the season!"
- "There's so much about this character/arc that you don't know yet!"
- "If you loved that part, you're going to absolutely love season [x] or episode [x] or character [x]!"
- "Have you seen [event x] yet?"
- "Don't worry, [dead/missing/gone-forever guest star x] comes back!"
- "Here's a link! Don't look at it until you've seen the whole series!"
- "The next episode with [character x] is [episode x]!"
- "Hey, you guys remember [cryptic fannish term for something I haven't seen yet]?"

I know you all mean well, I really do, and I really don't care if you talk about any of this stuff anywhere else on the whole Internet! Just, please, not in my comments. I know, believe me, that some characters, tropes and arcs are extremely difficult to talk about without hinting at stuff that I haven't seen yet. If you can't, then please don't talk about them until I've seen more of that character, arc or trope.

I also don't want to scare off any new people -- and I love that so many new people have shown up to talk about the series with me. I don't want to come across as That Scary Spoilerphobe Lady when you don't know me yet! XD I'm so sorry to be a hardass about this! But rest assured, at the rate I'm going, it's only going to be a couple of weeks 'til I finish the series, or at least get past most of the big spoilers that I don't want to know about. And then you can talk about whatever you want, and I'll be very happy to talk about it with you. :D

Just for the record, behind-the-scenes stuff for episodes I've already seen does NOT constitute spoilers as far as I'm concerned. I've been loving all those little anecdotes from the DVD extras, and your stories about how you got into Highlander, and your squee about the characters, and happy fannish chatter about the episodes I've already seen. I really do enjoy it VERY MUCH! Just, please, PLEASE try not to let things slip about future events and character developments, even general stuff. I enjoy them so much more if they're completely unexpected, or at the very least unconfirmed, in the case of things I'm anticipating already.

Still so completely SUCKING at avoiding SGA Season 5 spoilers! But ... but ... I just skimmed this interview with David Hewlett (trying desperately to read it and yet remain unspoiled ... yes, I probably believe in unicorns too) and then I came to this.

Contains a season 5 spoiler for the plot of one of the episodes + vague spoiler for one of the longer story arcs of the season )

If you want to see the very, very gorgeous picture of David Hewlett that accompanied the article without the spoilers, you can stare at it here. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] mcalex22 for the heads-up!

I've generally been avoiding spoilers as much as possible, but I decided to read this interview with Rachel Luttrell (warning: spoilers!) and wanted to squee about one thing in the interview.

First off, before I get going, [livejournal.com profile] naye has a lovely review/picspam of the SGA finale located here! Go and squee and enjoy!

Okay. I made a deal with myself that I would avoid all newsblogs and unvetted episode reaction posts until the end of the season, in the hopes of remaining unspoilered. Shockingly, I actually did it -- would have done better except for someone posting one of the very spoilers I was trying to avoid in a comment to one of my episode reaction posts a couple of weeks ago. Oh well.

But the season is done, and I know I can't make it 'till the start of season 5 without looking at any promo pictures or reading any discussion posts, so I decided to rip off the band-aid and spoil myself on the biggies.

So. There is really no way I can warn anyone outside the cut about which spoilers are under it, obviously, so please do not click on it if getting ANY casting spoiler for next season would spoil your day.

Three casting spoilers under the cut, and discussion thereof, including spoilers for season 4 up to the finale. )

So I'm playing the SGA Season 2 behind-the-scenes featurettes in the background while I draw (or presently, being on an art-break, while I type), to keep me from watching the same 5 seconds of the Season 4 trailer from Comicon over and over and over again.

Those who have seen the trailer will probably have no difficulty figuring out which five seconds...

And then, to make sure that there is no question whatsoever in anyone's mind that I am completely and utterly pathetic, I screencapped it. Screencaps and S4 spoilers under the cut ... well, 5 seconds of spoilers, anyhow. But it's probably an important scene...

They're letting h/c fanficcers write episodes again, aren't they? )

So I'm listening in the background to Adventures in Sci-fi's podcast of their San Diego Comicon interviews (links to main page, download available) -- which does contain S4 spoilers, I know, I'm just sort of "la la la"ing through the worst ones, but I couldn't help myself. Anyway, I got to this comment: (note: not specifically spoilerish in and of itself, but hints at general S4 content and it's with one of the new cast members, so I'm putting it under a cut)

Be still my h/c-loving heart )

Also, [livejournal.com profile] winter_elf is seriously awesome. Just had to mention that. [livejournal.com profile] winter_elf knows what I'm talking about. ♥
