Yes, I am SAD and PATHETIC, we all know this, moving right along...

So I'm playing the SGA Season 2 behind-the-scenes featurettes in the background while I draw (or presently, being on an art-break, while I type), to keep me from watching the same 5 seconds of the Season 4 trailer from Comicon over and over and over again.

Those who have seen the trailer will probably have no difficulty figuring out which five seconds...

And then, to make sure that there is no question whatsoever in anyone's mind that I am completely and utterly pathetic, I screencapped it. Screencaps and S4 spoilers under the cut ... well, 5 seconds of spoilers, anyhow. But it's probably an important scene...


SO I had already read about this scene in liketheriverrun's Comicon report, which means I've been desperately hoping some kind person would put the Comicon trailer online so I could see it. And now I am happy. Well ... no. Now I want Season 4 EVEN MORE. But also happy.

Have I mentioned that, for pure angst value, defibrillator scenes are one of my favorite things EVER? Especially with loved ones standing by, angsting. (The blurriness of these screencaps, alas, is due to the low quality of the trailer.)

Dead!Rodney. (Dead shirtless Rodney, no less.) And John, off to the right; unfortunately we can't see his face, but I sense "major freakout" coming.

I do try not to get my hopes up for h/c based on spoilers, but how can there not be h/c from this?! And Keller's wearing a biohazard suit while John's not ... THAT can't be good...

I'd be a lot more worried if I thought for a minute that they were actually going to kill Rodney, but not very likely. Although I actually am a little concerned that they might "reboot" his character -- bring him back as an AU version or something.

*crosses fingers that we keep our same Rodney*

hahaha I've been doing the same thing! We've aaaall been doing the same thing! It's the "you can't win" part that's got me giggly and please please please can it play nooooow!

I have to stop watching it because I just get into anticipation-mode and drive me hubby crazy. "Oh, and you know what might happen!" "Did you see that! Look! It's going to be so cool." "Why isn't it September yeeeeeeet?" *whines*

So, I'll go, try to occupy myself with other things. Next month! Next month!!! Woohoo! Or maybe I'll watch it again...a few times. :) August is Sad and Pathetic Month, right? That's its official stance?

omg, thank you for capping that part! I had seen Rodney but totally missed the haz mat suits and Sheppard in the background (my computer is playing the vid with distorted quality, which sometimes happens to me with sci-fi.com's vids too *grrrrr* so it's hard to make out any details.

I wish I had a better quality trailer to make caps from. But Sheppard is definitely off to the right, watching them; I just wish it was possible to see his expression.

Oh I don't know - the writers of this show are really good at dishing out the hurt but leaving out the comfort. I am going to wait and see what they do.

I doubt they would "reboot" Rodney - the writers love the character to much the way he is. (I get the feeling that for some of them Rodney is a bit of Marty-Stu - abet one that doesn't get all the girls) Moreover some of the other spoilers I have read really only work with our Rodney.

As for how this scene is going to play out - we will have to wait and see. Evil Scifi for making us wait until Sept for this.

Yes! Bring on season 4! And yet I am attempting to avoid spoilers (except a certain class of spoiler, in which I will indulge at the end).

Why do we have to wait until the END of SEPTEMBER? Yes, yes, I know those of you not in the US never got it in July anyway (because none of you would EVER, like, download it), but I want it NOW!

Can't wait to see Carson again! Can't wait to see Carson again! I can't handle my favorite characters dying. Yes, if one is going to die, PLEASE let me know in advance (I knew "Heroes" was coming too ; when I first heard the rumors about "Sunday" I didn't believe them, but I knew the sad truth well before the episode aired over here, or I'd have been EVEN MORE TICKED than I am now).
If one of my faves is coming back, better still. Now I'm praying for SGA to get a season 5, and for the SCB campaign to get their way and bring Carson back permanently. They've been giving Joe Mallozzi chocolate, which is definitely a smart move.

OMG, that was RODNEY? The trailer I saw had such bad resolution that it wasn't possible to see who Keller was attempting to defibrillate. I wish my doctor would put me in a drug-induced coma until Sept. 28. Now only would I lose weight, but I would, you know, lose wait, as well! But, anyway, whatever episode your caps come from, I'm shocked (pun!) and stunned (more pun!) that my Rodney appears to be dead!

BTW, I really enjoyed your short Ronon/Rodney piece.
