Dear Just Married creator

Treats welcome!

I would be perfectly happy if you swap tags between requests. I think all my requests are pretty similar, and if a different request's tags give you an idea, please go for it with my enthusiastic consent.

I would love to receive any of my requests equally, and optional details aside, the tags are the primary prompts; please feel free to do what you like with them.

Relationship likes: enemies to lovers (or enemies -> friends -> lovers), hurt/comfort, banter, soul bonds (some kinds I particularly like include: sharing feelings or thoughts, sharing nightmares/dreams, sharing pain, can heal each other, can't get more than X distance from each other), arranged/forced marriage, forced proximity (of either the temporary "only one bed/hotel room/cell/etc" kind, or the more permanent arranged marriage/soulbond variety), characters retaining close bonds to their other friends/family in spite of the relationship (friends having opinions about the relationship, serving as confidantes, getting to know the partner, etc), cuddling/snuggling, chaste gestures of affection within a relationship (such as forehead or cheek kisses, hands brushing each other, lying fully clothed together to sleep when they are exhausted, etc), enjoying each other's company through shared interests or doing things together, rescuing each other, cooking for each other or other small acts of service or gifts. I am happy with any rating from G rated through explicit sex.

Do Not Want: See individual sections.

Do not want: Major character death, tragic endings (it can end on a happy-for-now note or just starting to cautiously reconcile, but I'd like them to end up in a better place than they start out).

The various political marriage options: these could be around the end of the first Narn-Centauri war (so young adult Londo and G'Kar who don't know each other yet), or at any point in canon - to avert a new war, to end one of their wars in canon, etc. Maybe they're ordered to marry by their governments, as some kind of ceremonial end to the conflict to cement the treaty. Maybe it's part of an assassination plot, either something one of them has been ordered to do and feels reluctant about - I could see this for Londo, especially - or their own plan (that goes awry because oops, feelings).

The marriage of convenience options could also be at any point in canon, but here I'm thinking in particular of Londo deciding to marry G'Kar to protect him from Cartagia, or at some other point during the war(s) because circumstances have come to a head in some way that makes it necessary (from his point of view, anyway) to marry G'Kar to protect him from being arrested/hurt/killed by Londo's own people. It could also be Emperor Londo marrying him to protect him from something or other (fixits for the Drakh situation very welcome!).

As for the proposal/wedding night/forbidden marriage options - these could absolutely work in tandem with the more fraught enemy-era prompts in various ways, feel free to do whatever you like with it; but it could also be set in a much happier season 5 or no-Drakh AU that leans into their late-in-series fondness and playfulness and the push-pull of trying to get their opposing cultural expectations to mesh, having to deal with their overly invested friends, etc. Can Centauri and Narns even legally get married? How do they and their friends work around that? What if they accidentally get engaged (drunk/joking/stumbled over a cultural custom the other one didn't know about) and decide to run with it? The "partners already having sex decide to stop having sex until marriage" prompt might be hilarious for them - is this some kind of Centauri custom or Narn religious taboo, do they do it just to mess with each other, does one party try everything they can think of to get around the prohibition and/or tempt the other unmercifully until they give in?

And the telepathy one is obviously aimed at their Dust to Dust experience - what if they ended up with some sort of permanent soulbond from that, able to (say) feel each other's pain or heal each other? Feel free to do whatever you want with that! Or maybe it happens some other way, due to intervention from Lyta or Kosh, say.

I ran out of room to cram in more tags surrounding the Dimension Travel prompts, but I love the idea of these two finding out they're married in an alternate dimension (the "Surprise Dimension Traveling Spouse" tag is also excellent, would love to see the mutual bafflement if one of them from the actually-married universe turns up on canon B5) and coming around to a greater intimacy and/or understanding of each other that way, once they get past the initial screaming.

Whatever you choose to do with them, I adore their trajectory in canon - the fascination, the intimacy, the way they clearly are important to each other whether it's as an object of hate or affection, the transition from "I'd happily watch you die" to "I'd willingly die for you." Whatever you write doesn't necessarily have to avert their canon deaths, but I'd rather not dwell on it.

Do not want: Major character death, unhappy endings, focus on Erich in WW2.

For the arranged/political marriage prompts: I love the idea of the two of them being force-married to end one of their wars (with AU marriage rules in place, of course), or perhaps this is a Cold War era thing of some kind. Perhaps Erich is sent to marry Biggles *and* kill him in the Sakhalin scenario; talk about getting what he wanted in the worst possible way! And of course Biggles marrying Erich to protect him from retribution or give him a reason to stay in England is always lovely - maybe they have a shotgun wedding on the American base, or once they're back in England? And then have to deal with the Oh No Feelings afterwards?

"Fake Wedding To Bait Criminals and/or Enemies" is simply hilarious. Feel free to give them the most over-the-top ludicrous wedding ever. Maybe Algy is the one person who knows that they actually plan to get married during the big event? Maybe the actual serious getting married is a complete accident and/or something they do spontaneously to take advantage of the situation? Do they elope out the back afterwards? (Or maybe it's during the enemy years and they happen to have a common cause and come out of it married afterwards?)

The dimension travel ones are just too much fun. I was particularly thinking of their most acrimonious enemy years here, though of course you can set it whenever you like.

And the proposal/wedding ones can be as shmoopy, funny, angsty, etc, as you like. You can set it either in a no-homophobia AU in which they can legally get married, or in our universe with the two of them having to make up their own traditions and carefully avoid any hint of impropriety in the process; I am equally good with either.

I basically love everything about their canon arc! You can set this at any point in canon that makes sense for the story you're telling; I will be happy with any part of it.

Do not want: Major character death, unhappy endings.

For any of these, you can keep to our (and their) canon universe, or tweak actual marriage rules and customs as needed. If you go with Jack/Peggy, I'm fine with a "never got together with Daniel" universe, or an amicable or angsty breakup as long as Daniel is not demonized; in any case, I would prefer friendly relations between them in the end, or Daniel simply not to be mentioned.

I love undercover/fake marriage/married-in-the-suburbs etc scenarios for these characters, in any combination: Jack and Peggy having to be undercover-married, Peggy and Daniel being undercover-married with Jack as a third wheel, etc.

Arranged marriage - this is obviously an AU in which arranged marriage in the UK/US in the 20th century is a thing. Lean into that however you like, with whatever worldbuilding you like! Maybe it's something relatively simple, such as their families were friends when they were kids, and the kids were promised to each other? Maybe it's a whole AU thing, such as Peggy having to marry someone at the SSR to stay there, or a cultural situation where she has been betrothed to someone and doesn't really have a choice about it? Maybe she has to get married post-war to stay in the US?

The soul bond and dimension travel tags are basically their own prompts. Perhaps the Peggy/Jack/Daniel triad don't even consider a poly relationship until meeting AU versions of themselves, or getting unwillingly soulbonded? Perhaps Peggy finds herself in an AU universe in which she is - oh no - married to Jack?

I love them in all combinations, and I love what canon did with them (barring Jack getting shot at the end of season 2, but I am firmly team #jacklives), so whatever you do with them here, I'm sure I'll be delighted with it!

I saw that prompt and thought immediately that depending on when in canon they found out, there could be so, so much screaming.

I love undercover/fake marriage/married-in-the-suburbs etc scenarios for these characters, in any combination: Jack and Peggy having to be undercover-married

I love the sound of this one, especially if it leads to some kind of epically awkward conversation where Jack has to keep a straight face while concerned local gossip informs their neighborhood war hero that his British war bride seems to be running around on him with one of those flashy New York types. (He will try to relay this information to Peggy and Daniel as a potential cover breach and both of them will be laughing too hard to care.)

I kinda wrote something like this a while back, but it was the entire neighborhood giving Peggy the cold shoulder because they thought she was cheating on the other war hero.

They need to go undercover sometime in a suburb that minds its own business!

(Thank you for the link, I am delighted.)
