Oh no, I have Ideas.

So I'm about two and a half months into my weekly short stories via email project, and it's going GREAT. I've been having fun going back through my extensive backlog of mostly-unsold stories from the last two decades and cleaning them up (and also realizing how vastly I've improved at big-picture writing skills; on a sentence-structure level I'm not that much better, but theme and structure and endings, holy moly - let's just say I am definitely realizing why I used to have so much trouble selling anything).

The shorter ones are pasted into the emails, but I've been putting the longer ones, between about 3-10K words, on BookFunnel. If you'd like to download any of them, you can get them here:

By sheer numbers, I'm fine on short stories until at least early next year. However, I would really love to have some new stories to intersperse with the older ones, many of which are depressing or experimental or frankly just not that good.

Would anyone like to give me some original fiction prompts that might be worked up into short stories or snippets? I'm not promising to write your prompt (in fact it's likely that many of them won't be written) but if I do, I'll put it in the comments here, as well as sending it out on the list. :) Any genre or style is fine. Fantasy, urban fantasy, or fantasy-historical are especially relevant to the kind of things I'm writing under this pen name, but as you can see from the above, I'm sending out all kinds of stories here.

The new (and last *sob*) Jessica Jones season comes out on Friday. Let's celebrate the world of the Netflix Defenders shows with a good old-fashioned commentfic fest!



This is for all shows in the Netflix Defenders universe: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders, and Punisher.

Rules:

• All characters and pairings are welcome! No ship/character bashing.
• Crossovers are welcome as long as they include at least one Defendersverse character.
• Your prompt should include one or more characters ("any" is fine), and a prompt which may be long or short, specific or not, even a graphic or image. Use "/" for a romantic ship and "&" for a gen pairing.

My houseguests are gone, so I have time for a commentfic spree! Who cares about network TV execs; we'll make our own fun around here. Leave me an Agent Carter prompt and I will write at least 100 words of fic for it. (Here are examples from the last time I did this.)

I would really like to do either one - fic or art - but I'm genuinely stumped for ideas; I think because the fandom/canon is so huge, plus I haven't done fanart in awhile, I'm just coming up blank on things to draw or write about. As usual with this sort of thing, I have a terrible history of filling prompts, so I cannot promise to fill your request. But if you would like to throw something out there, I'll see if it sparks anything! You can specify fic or art, if you like, or just give me a prompt and see what happens. Any and all characters are welcome, plus Avengers characters too (though it's specifically the Captain America movies that have eaten my brain the last couple of weeks).
