I don't often do this, but ...
Does anyone have a fic or art prompt for me for the Captain America movie 'verse? :D?
I would really like to do either one - fic or art - but I'm genuinely stumped for ideas; I think because the fandom/canon is so huge, plus I haven't done fanart in awhile, I'm just coming up blank on things to draw or write about. As usual with this sort of thing, I have a terrible history of filling prompts, so I cannot promise to fill your request. But if you would like to throw something out there, I'll see if it sparks anything! You can specify fic or art, if you like, or just give me a prompt and see what happens. Any and all characters are welcome, plus Avengers characters too (though it's specifically the Captain America movies that have eaten my brain the last couple of weeks).

*LIES ALL LIES. But coming at it from a ficcing perspective lets me frame it in terms of "character complexity to poke at" and not "whoever wrote this should be shot", which... well, lends itself better to ficcing, anyway.
Here's another, if you're so inclined: in the new movie, there's a scene were Steve watches as Natasha kicks someone off the roof of a building to scare him into giving up information. Now,
1) That's a simulated execution. That's a form of torture.
2) In his work at the VA, it's entirely possible that Sam's worked with veterans whose traumas include some form of torture. It's possible he's also worked with vets whose trauma includes committing some form of torture.
3) Given Natasha's... given Natasha, I'd imagine that she'd have some awareness of the utility of torture. That being, torture is a really good way to get bad information.
4) Steve is Steve.
5, the Prompt) For them to have Sam on hand, ready to catch the guy and put him back on the roof again, they had to discuss the logistics of this beforehand. It'd be fascinating to see that conversation take place, with awareness of points 1-4.

If that's not specific enough, how about: legacy; letters; and/or circus?

The early days of Natash's tenure in SHIELD, where she assumes that everyone other than Clint is only one step above an enemy, and no one's more dangerous or trusts her less than Fury, but then it turns out that while Fury may not trust her completely, he's genuinely wiling to give her a chance.
Natasha and Fury depending on each other for survival, trapped behind enemy territory or something similar.
Clint and Natasha after the movie. "No, seriously, you did what?"
Hill, for all sorts of logical reasons, doesn't trust Natasha, and then Natasha saves her at great risk to herself.
Sam and Natasha spending time together after the movie.
Hill and Fury and why he trusted her when he trusted no one else.
Fury and his belief that SHIELD is truly a force for good, that despite the terrible things he does and the terrible things he commands his people to do, they are the good guys, and they will make a better world.
Uh, just to be clear, I'm not asking you write all of these, rather I'm throwing out as many ideas as I can think of in case one sticks.
