What's up, internet? It's May somehow!

summerofhorror is currently taking nominations (until May 5). You may notice a familiar one or two has slipped in there.

rarepairexchange is currently in signups (until May 11). I am terribly tempted to do this one; I could definitely get 3-4 fandoms out of the tag set.

I don't know how many people here follow smallfandomfest, but they have been going on since the LJ days and are still running. They have periodic rounds of prompting and small fandom promo, and a new round has just started, in case any Biggles people (or other small fandom folks) are interested!

hurtcomfortex just posted a countdown timer to the deadline at the end of May, in case anyone else wants to quietly panic along with me.

The prompt at fan_flashworks for Oct. 10-20 is "Nightmares". I have GOT to write something for this. (If you don't follow fan-flashworks, it's an old style prompting comm, with a new prompt every 10 days. Any kind of fanworks or original fiction/art/etc is accepted, as long as it's related to the prompt.)

I cut back on some of my big novel-sized projects, took a few days off, and have been having a consequent surge in creative energy, which is a lovely feeling. I have outlined one of my Equality Auction fics and wrote a bit of it, and started my Trick or Treat assignment. (Though I might end up ditching that and writing something shorter instead; I came up with something that's probably going to be stupidly long and I'm not sure if I have the oomph for it right now.)

I also nominated some tags for Little Black Dress Flash (here's the tag set) because I think it looks fun. It's a flash exchange - very low minimum, only a few days creating time. From the description:

Little Black Dress Flash Exchange is all about fic with one of your faves + a surprise character. That's it! That's the flash.

Both ship and gen options are allowed; you specify ship/gen and gender or Any when you nominate the tag, e.g. Owen Harper & Any. Otherwise, it's dealer's choice on which character they're paired up with.

My nominations are stunningly obvious as usual. Relatedly: I still have open nomination slots if anyone wants me to add some Agent Carter, Torchwood, or Defenders characters!
