May is upon us, like a ton of ice cubes
First of May, first of May, outdoor fuc--

Perhaps not.
This is the path off through the woods to one of our favorite walking spots. The driveway is SLIGHTLY less dire; at least you can walk on it.

Rumor has it that it might snow this weekend. Apparently it's snowing like blazes in the mountains just south of Anchorage.
This, like all things, will pass, but I'm looking forward to a return to summer.

Thank you for sharing photos -- life in Alaska is (from the pov of someone living 4500 miles away) fascinating in its difference.

NOOOOO, that's not better! Though more appropriate to outdoor fucking, it is true.

What's the duration of summer where you are?

It's early June through late August - so we generally get about 3 months of it! This is unusually cold for early May (usually most of the snow is gone by now) but it's not too far behind schedule.

Check. We're on the kind of schedule that would have been normal when I was a child, but has generally been superseded by climate change. It's much nicer than the alternative and I have to hope it does not presage the immediate collapse of the Gulf Stream.

Today looks pretty nice outside here, and we've opened a living room window. But I hear tomorrow we're back to chilly rain, and possibly a bit of snow mixed it (probably more likely elsewhere in the province than here). Real spring now, please!

HEEEE. OMG, I hope you get summer soon! I hope you're enjoying the longer days, anyway.
