Your blorbos at the holidays

Let's talk about Holidays! Christmas or whatever. Specifically what our fandom faves are doing for their holidays, whatever those may be.

Obviously I came in here wanting to chat about the Biggles crew - what do they do for Christmas, do they have EvS over, does Algy ever stop being annoyed by this, etc...? Do you have any thoughts about things they would have particular feelings about at the holidays? Tell me your thoughts, please!

But also, feel free to tell me all your headcanons about your current faves at their holidays, from whatever your current fandom is, and whatever their holidays are. Do they give gifts, and to whom? Does your canon have a holiday episode, and is it any good? Does your fandom have festive fic, or is it just not really a thing?

Fic in a Box author reveals

I wrote - I'm sure you will all be very surprised to learn - a ton of Biggles. I wrote for philomytha and because she had asked for many character relationships, all of which I wanted to write, I ended up writing her a bunch of short fic with a variety of different styles rather than a long one. And then I wrote an Algy/Ginger treat for blackbentley because there wasn't much A/G in the collection and I wanted to make sure she got some nice gifts with her OTP. <3

Like a Kindled Flame (Biggles/EvS, mature, 2600 wds)
After their rescue, Biggles and Erich still have a few things to work out. Sequel to "Hope, and All That Means" by BlackBentley.

Both Philomytha and Blackbentley opted into recursive fic and remixes this year, and I'd been craving a follow-up to the original (which is absolutely lovely, but stops short of the romantic resolution for entirely valid plot reasons). So after checking with BB to make sure it was fine to write a sequel, I did! Delightfully, this one now has a sequel as well.

I just crave more fic with them Doing Things Together in the general timeframe after Buries a Hatchet and Looks Back. And the idea of all of them running around playing paintball was too charming to pass up.

I'm fascinated by Raymond and EvS's dynamic from Hatchet onward, in which they clearly "get" each other as Old Spies in a way that even Biggles doesn't. And I've been thinking about the possibility that they had run into each other more times than Biggles knows about, over the years. So that's what this is about.

So, full disclosure, this started out as one of the No True Pair ficlets I wrote back in September, but it never really came together so I shelved it half-finished and then - as this was another of Philomytha's requested relationships - resurrected it when I needed more word count for FIAB, and I really did want to finish it properly! (Though it basically ended up being rewritten from scratch anyway.) I am really interested in Fritz and his mother's transition to living in West Berlin, a place very different from what they're used to, and what that might have been like for them, as well a Fritz's-eye view of his uncle adjusting to life in London and becoming a happier person.
