Introducing Julie Ecker

My latest pen name! WHEEEEE.

Julie Ecker is my cozy mystery pen name, and I'll be releasing books starting in late July. My first Julie series will be a series of short murder mysteries set in a campground in Alaska's Denali Park, which are mostly learning-the-ropes books, plus an unrelated Christmas book).

Julie has:

• An Instagram, if you're into that. This will be mostly Alaska/Denali Park pictures, at least for the first month or two. My Denali Park trip earlier this month was mainly collecting pictures for this.
• A Facebook group, if you're into that. (It's private, so you have to join to see anything. Julie also has a public Facebook page.)
• A Twitter, if I ever do anything with that.
• A website, if I can be bothered to maintain that.
• A mailing list, which will probably send out emails a couple times a month.

And a free book.

This is a shortish (12K) prequel mini-mystery to the Denali campground books. As with (most of) my other books, you can get them here for free a week or so before they're released.

My lovely gifts

As previously noted, the Biggles fandom in Prisoner's Exchange outdid themselves, with 12 fics including three other long ones in the 8-12K range in addition to the epically long one linked below. My gifts were glorious, all incredibly RTMI, and all very different from each other.

A Knotty Problem (Biggles/EvS, 2600 wds)
Sweet, lovely established-relationship fic in which they are trying to undo the ropes tying them to a tent pole ahead of their impending execution. A typical Tuesday in other words. <3 Full of affection and perfect character touches.

Nicotine (Algy/EvS, 3200 wds)
A prickly and fantastic "locked up together" fic for this rarest of rare pairs! Locked up with only one cigarette between them; what do? Share it, of course - in their own prickly-flirty kind of way. Hot and insightful and sharply characterized.

Biggles in Sarawak (Biggles/EvS, 25K!!!!)
Epically long, perfectly Johns-esque plotty get-together fic, set pre-Hatchet in which Biggles is ordered to take a captured EvS to prison, but of course things don't go according to plan. This is a long, beautifully described, sweet and sensual h/c extravaganza. 25K!!! I'm stunned and grateful.

Just for the record, I did not write half the fics in the exchange this time. Everything I've read has been fantastic, and I'm not even done yet. Truly, this is the best exchange theme for this fandom.
