Three fannish things, one quasi-fannish, and one that's not fannish at all

1. I went ahead and signed up for purimgifts. :) Signups close in a couple hours -- Signup post is here and Rules post is here. It's a fun, multi-fandom ficathon, and this'll be the first year I'm in a position to be able to participate; I'm excited!

2. schneefink wrote a ficlet set in naye's and my Whaleverse: Respite. It's light McKay/Sheppard, Rodney POV, and deals with a bit of the aftermath of the story, post-Wraith-attack. It's very sweet; check it out!

3. Now might be an excellent time to think about claiming some categories in stargateficrec next month. (... I wrote "next semester". hahahaha guess where my brain is right now. *headdesk* *corrects*) They are no longer checking categories after the first of the month for late sign-ups, so claiming categories near the end of the month to rec next month is an excellent plan, if you're interested in such things, of course. I'm doing Sheppard um, I mean reccing Sheppard this month and have signed up for Sheppard/McKay friendship again next month. (You can also get in line for a category early, if you like. I'm queued up to do H/C when it's next available.)

4. The help_haiti auctions will be ending tomorrow, Jan. 20, at noon EST. My thread is here.

Spring semester classes start on Thursday. *is excited* And Amazon is unexpectedly awesome, because I ordered my textbooks off Amazon last night at 2 a.m., and they've already shipped TODAY even though I took the Supersaver Shipping option. *blinks* I don't think I've ever had anything ship that fast before.
