Spoilers: AU; vague spoilers for "Forging Bonds" and early season one, plus a small spoiler for something revealed about Peter's past in season three
Warnings: some graphic violence; mention of harm to children (note: one of the sequels contains a trigger warning for discussion of child abuse; this will be clearly noted when I post it)
Summary: "He's some kind of secret government experiment?" Peter and his team have been trying to catch the elusive con artist Neal Caffrey for years. But Peter's search for Neal leads him to something else: a startling revelation about Neal's true nature. Written for the White Collar Big Bang and the "experiments by evil scientists" prompt on my h/c bingo card. AU.
