Legend of Korra - spoilers up to 1x10

I haven't really been posting about Legend of Korra because I haven't had that much to say about it. I've been discussing it a little at the episode discussion posts on white_lotus, and otherwise ... it's a gorgeous show, but for the most part, it's left me a bit flat -- I enjoy the episodes, but don't really feel that engaged by the characters.

Then the latest episode happened.
