sholio: (Dresden bookverse)
I am hooooome and have a to-do list as long as my arm, so what am I doing instead? Reading the latest Dresden Files chapter (and the last preview chapter before the book comes out on the 26th - though apparently there will be early copies available at the San Diego Comicon, for those of you in the area!).

Under cut, spoiler spoiler )

New White Collar tonight eeeeeee! (I feel silly, but I haven't been this excited about new episodes of a show since SGA went off the air. *flails*)

Along those lines, Tim DeKay and Matt Bomer are THE CUTEST THING EVER. I link you to exhibit A: this interview with both of them (done between the first & second halves of season two, so no season three spoilers at all). I think what really gets me about the two of them, actually the whole White Collar cast in general, is how much they praise each other. They all come across as incredibly nice people who really like and admire each other as people and actors, and even though they're certainly not the only TV cast who seem to enjoy each others' company and be friends in real life, I don't thing I've run across any lately who say nice things about each other as much as these guys do.

You know what else is the cutest thing ever? Roger Daltrey. I have been on a major The Who kick for the last month or two. It's really quite funny, because I have loved The Who since, oh, 1998 or so -- I even titled all the chapters in my webcomic after lines from "Won't Get Fooled Again" (and then retitled them when I realized that you can't actually legally do that with song lyrics, but oh well). But I never actually paid much attention to the band itself, just the music, in part because what little backstage footage I'd seen had given me the apparently-quite-erroneous impression that they were jerks (I blame Keith Moon entirely for this). Then Highlander happened, and now it's like rediscovering an old favorite for the first time, because I'm looking up all these concert clips on Youtube and making squeaky noises at Daltrey. He's darling! I can't believe he's in his (late?) sixties -- he's still in great shape, awfully good-looking, and still actively singing and touring and acting. And, again with the famous people being nice people in real life -- he seems so down-to-earth and sweet in all his interviews, always saying kind things about the other singers he works with, and genuinely devoted to both his family and his music. Here, have a link to a really fabulous Roger Daltrey cover of "Love Hurts" on Youtube.

Hmm, what else. I had a ton of things to talk about when I didn't have time to post them, and now I can't think of anything else. Oh, right, Echo Bazaar! It's still ridiculous, diverting fun, though I keep getting slightly bored because it really does get repetitive in places. Maybe a little bit spoilery for the game; not much. )
