I seriously haven't stopped crying since it ended. Even with Carson I didn't cry this much! I've had to retype this twice because I can't see they typos through my tears.
I am ... kind of torn, because on the one hand, I couldn't believe they killed Ianto and I really didn't want him to die; on the other hand, there is a part of me that likes how TW doesn't pull punches and give their characters a "get out of death free" card like other shows *cough*STARGATE*cough* are prone to doing. If Ianto gets a reset, I really want one for Tosh and Owen too, but doing that would cheapen all three deaths ... I just don't know what I want! *wibbles some more*
I guess we'll all find out tomorrow.
Edited to add: I hope that didn't sound unsympathetic, because I do understand how much it can gut you to lose a favorite character. *hugs* I'm still processing how I feel about this turn of events, though ... just processing out loud, mostly, I guess.
I totally understand. Usually, I'm all over a tragic death to add some weight to a series.
But we already just had that happen with Owen & Tosh. So to me, killing off Ianto is completely unnecessary. Almost like a cheap stunt. One done in an absolutely beautiful and stunning way but a cheap stunt still at it's core.
Or maybe it's just that Ianto's my favorite!
It has been ages since I've been this excited to see the next episode of a show. I gotta know!!!!
