astridv made gorgeous fanart inspired by ME! It's for my story Night Ops (Jennifer, Rodney, John; mostly gen with light McKeller, though not in this scene). Rather large picture under the cut -- vaguely spoilery for the story, I guess, but only if you couldn't figure out from my past stories that John and Rodney probably don't make it to the end unscathed.



This is so awesome! I love Jennifer's use of the patented Rodney McKay P90 technique (close your eyes, point the gun in the general direction of the enemy, and hope!); I love the feeling of cold and desperation, and all the details -- Rodney's jacket not quite fitting John, the Atlantis-y control tower in the background, Keller's combat boots!

That's just great! I haven't read the fic yet (and no, I have no idea how that happened), so thanks for the reminder -- I've marked it, at least. But you're right -- the way she's adopted Rodney's "close eyes and hope" technique is brilliant. But then I see the blood in the snow ... ::shiver::
