I heard on the radio today. It is sad...and a bit scary. Given how important homeland security is one would think the FBI would have more money to upgrade their systems. Oh wait...that would take forethought and planning. Things that our government have been good at...
I don't think the FBI needs more money so much as the ability to competently manage the money they have. Of course, there we go again ... foresight and planning!
I think I'd rather have my tax dollars go to the Stargate program than a lot of the ones we already have. *g*
That's okay...they aren't alone. My sister who works for the part of the government that manages their vehicle fleet for the federal government said they hadn't been paid by the secret service in THREE years! OMG! I guess these people think they don't have to pay because they are doing such important jobs. Something's wrong with this picture! And I was just thinking I should be working for the government...they have the best danged retirement plans out there! (sigh) Maybe it's due to not paying their other bills *vbg*
Yes, it is sad. And I just read that articale this morning! I didn't really think that they would get the FBI for something like that...but I guess anything's possible!
