Posting this in public to keep myself honest

Looking at my AO3 dashboard, has it really been two and a half months since I've posted anything fanficcish? No wonder it feels like forever.

I hereby announce my intention to write a thousand words per day each of original fiction and fanfic from here to the end of the year. Even on busy days. Even on days when I'm tired and distracted. If I actually manage to do this, I'll blow away last year's writing totals and maybe get a little closer to establishing a writing habit (as opposed to the binge-writing followed by exhausted collapse that I normally do).

Can I do it? I don't know, but I'm kind of jazzed at the idea.

I totally believe you can do it. (Of course, I also swore to write 2000 words a day, and... damn it. But you are awesome and can succeed!)

It's a goal, anyway! I've got to do SOMETHING, because I really do want to do this professionally someday and the way I'm going about it right now is ... not really leading in that direction.

Thank you! :) I'm hoping that including quite a bit of fanfiction will help keep it from getting stale ... and give me new things to post. :D
