Earlier this month, I requested (and got) a postage stamp of bingo prompts for hc-bingo's February challenge, which gives you four prompts (well, three plus a wildcard), all to be used in the same fic.
... it's a great postage stamp, actually, that would work really well for White Collar, at least for values of "really well" that involve plotless h/c in the woods. (Cover blown! Stranded in the wilderness! Hunted by bad guys and, uh ... bears?) I really want to use it. Today's the last day to write something, though, at least as part of the challenge. I'm not entirely sure why I'm saying this except that I really do want to write something for this, so here is the postage stamp, at the top of my journal, to remind me.
Also, signups are currently open for
run_the_con (signup post here). I did this a few months ago and had a lot of fun: basically if you join, you will get tagged at some point during the month of March (but you don't know when) and have 24 hours to write a short WC fic for the prompt that you are given at that time. The rules allow you to exclude a limited number of days if you like.
I know that I can sometimes get into a funk about fandom, but I'm currently feeling very warm and fuzzy towards White Collar fandom -- this mood is brought to you by traipsing through other fandoms and realizing just how friendly and commenty this fandom is, compared to a lot of other ones. :D
