White Collar: Burkes + Neal in the kitchen picspam part two
This one might be even screencappier than the last one. /o\
I couldn't get any good caps of Peter and Neal in the entryway, so this picks up with Neal's reaction to the commutation cake.

Aaaaand ... enter cake #2.

Which deserves a screencap of its own.

Peter's reaction to Neal's reaction.

EL'S FACE.

Still trying to justify her cake.

And being way cute with Neal.

Speaking of cute.

Gesturing with the coffeepot.

As with the last one, I love the casual domesticity of this scene. Just hangin' out in the Burkes' kitchen.

Sneaky Peter is sneaky.

Neal's reaction to Peter being sneaky.

The juxtaposition that struck me was how close the three of them stand compared to the scene of Elizabeth, Peter and Kramer from 3x10. There the Peter, Elizabeth and Kramer sit in the living room with at least a full arm length of space between them. They are three points of a triangle as opposed to Peter, Elizabeth and Neal who are more like a group hug.

Oh, and that's a really interesting point about the staging of the two scenes. I hadn't noticed, but you're right. It's so common on TV for the actors/characters to be unusually close to each other (for staging purposes, mostly, though it's often quite adorable) that I don't tend to think about it all that much, but it's absolutely fascinating to go look at the Kramer scene and see how they aren't that way, as opposed to the casual closeness of Peter, El and Neal.
