I am alive! And now in Ithaca, NY. Had a lovely time in NYC; it's a rare and glorious thing to get to hang out with other fangirls, and it was too short, as always.
My time online, until the end of December, will most likely be random and intermittent, since we haven't yet been able to get my laptop to work with my sister's ISP, so I'm using her computer instead. Thus, if I show up out of the blue, participate in discussions and then vanish from them, or don't answer comments or miss a post where I would normally comment or whatever, it's not anything personal; it's just that my online time is a bit limited and not necessarily receiving my full attention.

Nice to know you're alive. :D
I've always wanted to go to NYC, but am sadly afraid that it will be quite a few years before I'm able to do so. :(
I totally understand about the whole online thing...this is the first time I've been online in about a week and a half. I've missed bunches! :D

Don't let her get away with it folks! Demand more from your Friendshipper!
(Yes, I'm at work, and I'm bored. How did you know?)

It's really just an excuse to creep into people's journals, post inflammatory comments and then run away at top speed, laughing maniacally.

I love how wifi is available just about everywhere these days, although I've spent most of the trip going through my NYC photos and getting them ready to post, but the wifi doesn't seem robust enough to upload the photos to the net.
Ah well, will just have to wait until I get into the hotel tonight (apparently has internet) to see Cuddles exploits at the Statue of Liberty. LOL!

It's just too cool that you can use your laptop on the train! Awesome! (It's also very strange knowing that you and I are currently in more or less the same time zone. I'm used to being practically 180 degrees inverted, so to speak.)

And yet I still just intermittently pop up with replies. It must be a deeply ingrained part of my personality ;-P
And yeah, the internet being on the actual train throughout the journey was pretty cool.

Good luck with ISP issues and have a great December!

I love going up to New York to visit - there is a great energy there, but I am not sure I would want to live there. I like being able to see trees just by looking out my window and not having to deal with the crowds all the time. I was going to going up there this week - in fact I would have been up there right now, but that trip got delayed due to a family emergency. (Well, I did get up there - sort of. I passed through on the train to Ct.) With luck we will be able to get up to NYC by the end of the year - or the very first part of 2009.
So spending time with family you don't get to see that often is more important then spending time online? I'm insulted. OK, not really. I know what it is like to have other things going on in your life and not having your online time being your first priority.

I am not really a city person, but I do enjoy going to visit.

I know! So close! But, hey ... it's a very small world; I'm sure we'll meet up one of these years. ^_^

Did you get my email several weeks ago with my cell #?
Have fun!
