This brainspace currently mortgaged out to the Manchester P.D.
I haven't had another serious fan-addiction in the two years that I've been in SGA fandom. I've realized this because I'm currently in the middle of a full-blown, reading-every-fanfic, brain-swamped-with-plotbunnies Life on Mars addiction. No worries, I really don't see myself dropping out of the SGA fandom. I have too many stories to finish (including my Big Bang one with
naye), and too much love, time and friendship invested in the fandom to just walk away; besides which, even if I do get a bit apathetic for a while, I have no doubt that Season 5 will refresh my interest. However, if I'm a bit scarce in SGA-land for a little while, it's because my brain has been taken over by the boys (and girls) of A-Division.
I'm also learning to use del.icio.us, since the launch into a new fandom seemed like a good time to explore its features. (The idea of trying to bookmark all the SGA fic I've read and enjoyed makes my brain explode -- there are 900 stories in my SGA fanfic stories folder on my hard drive, and those are just the ones I felt were good enough that I wanted to save them in case they ever disappeared off the Internet!) Anyway, the only thing that's given me a little trouble so far is that I'm so used to comma-delimited tags in LJ that I keep trying to separate my tags with commas and ending up with duplicate tags with commas on the end. Luckily that's easy to fix. My del.icio.us username is, of course, friendshipper if you want to watch me flail around trying to find a tagging system that makes it easy for me to go back and find stuff.
Also, a vid rec!

This is a stunningly gorgeous vid to "Devotion" by Tracy Chapman - season 1 footage, no major spoilers that I noticed. For me, at least, it does a really beautiful job of capturing the feeling of the series, of Sam's life and all of the characters' struggle to keep their soul and sanity intact in their violent world.

My pal everybetty was hooked on "Life on Mars" but I was under the impression it was a short term show...does it have future seasons? My brain is fuzzy so please forgive me if I've got that wrong.
Good luck on conquering the del.icio.us accounts I keep pondering but it seems like such a long and involved project..eek!
Hopefully you'll keep your head in the SGA fandom, too many good writers have gone MIA of late...I'm sure the summer will brighten things.
How's the original fic coming along? And you were waaay ahead of sgabigbang are you two hitting epic status on it? :D

The original fic would be coming along much better if I'd stop getting addicted to new fandoms. XD And

I fell in love with "Firefly" as well, jeeesh what a great show. I plan on re-watching both of them again over the summer...its a bittersweet thing to be in something that's not producing anymore. Lately I've been in the mood to watch old "21 Jump Street" and I have no clue why!!
Congrats to the both of you on 50,000 words, in sounds epic if you don't know when it'll end :-P
I really, really need to go over there and look at the coding guidelines b/c I have math equations in mine and I don't want it to look like gibberish..even if it is!

Yay! I hope you let those plot bunnies proliferate and escape onto the Net. I'd love to see LoM stories by you. (I'm a slash fan in general, but I also love friendship and h/c fics, and you're absolutely brilliant at those!)

I can understand hard it would be difficult trying to slip into the characters voices - Gene is just so biting with what he says and how he says it. I'm Australian, so I don't think I could ever quite get Gene's Northern accent (which is funny, because PG is actually from the South).
I, very selfishly, would LOVE to see a LoM fic from you. You are one of my favourite (spelt right in both OZ and LoM :P ) fanfiction writers.

I really do want to write them, but wow, they're hard to write.
