Sudden surprise fish! (Yes, it's A:tLA again)

Ahahaha ... okay, thanks to a very amusing icon of Zuko with a fish on his head, and [personal profile] rydra_wong letting me know that it was actually from officially canonical comics, I went and found the pertinent pages from the Nickelodeon tie-in comics (on [community profile] scans_daily). (Takes place between seasons two and three, contains some spoilers.) Agh, I think I'm slipping right past "Hey, I guess I'm okay with that pairing" into active shipper territory. (ETA: And no, I don't mean Zuko/fish. This fandom is not actually that cracky. Even canon isn't actually that cracky ... much.)

Also, after finding this other excerpt from the comics (scroll down past the movie-casting pictures of CAPSLOCK-INDUCING RAGE), I have got to get my hands on the rest of them. Anyone know if they can still be purchased anywhere?

Try the bottom of this page for the tpb. This is my favorite online comics retailer but there are others.

Amazon has a bunch of books, but it's never easy to sort out trades. Good luck!

Just sliding past via white_lotus - if you can't get your hands on the real ones, I spent a couple of hours a few nights ago tracking down cbrs, and can send you links if you need.

Thanks, I saw it. Will look it over this weekend. I think I might ahve found a legit way to buy it though, I'll just have to find the post again if you're interested in that.

It's rather frustrating, isn't it? The thing I'm peeved about now is webisodes. Missing a storyline because it was in a webisode. Grr. I just don't spend enough time on my computer, I guess? Also, I thought I'd get caught up on the Blackest Night series. Yikes. That's gonna hurt my pocketbook. And the back and forth between 3 different series as they all crossover.

I'm all for supporting a fandom, but really. It's all a ploy, I tell ya!

And the movie... Yeah not happy.

Yeah, that's one reason why I'm not buying DC/Marvel comics anymore -- it was just too difficult trying to keep up with all the different series and crossovers and special events and ... aargh! You stopped for a few months, and all of a sudden this character was dead, and that one was on a different team, and that one was back from the dead ... *head explodes* I like getting the extra stuff, but it's frustrating to have to keep up with it all just to follow the story!

The movie ... aargh. Just, aargh. It could have been so wonderful, and the show itself is such a great example of how to do that sort of thing right. Instead the movie is an awful, putrid mess. (Also, now that I've actually seen the show, all that blathering by the movie casting people in their press releases about how the characters are sort of generic and could be of any race or ethnicity? BULLSHIT. The whole show is so obviously, and respectfully, derived from Inuit and East/Southeast Asian cultural influences, and the character designs, including their facial features, are consistent with that. It's completely obvious what ethnicity they're all supposed to be.)
