SGA canon question

Does anyone know whether Asgard beaming technology can go through the Atlantis shield?

I really can't remember an instance on the show where they've either a) beamed someone to/from the Daedalus through the shield, or b) mentioned specifically that they can't, but I may well be forgetting something.

It kinda makes sense both ways, actually ... and I don't think canon ever weighed in. It's really just a matter of picking something and sticking with it ...
