SGA canon question

Does anyone know whether Asgard beaming technology can go through the Atlantis shield?

I really can't remember an instance on the show where they've either a) beamed someone to/from the Daedalus through the shield, or b) mentioned specifically that they can't, but I may well be forgetting something.

On SG-1 we saw them beaming people out from inside Cheyenne Mountain, and in The Lost City they beam Jack *to* a shielded ship but the short answer is I don't think we know.

You can argue it either way: if you want them to be able to beam out through the shield, make the point that they were allies with the Ancients. If you don't want them to be able to, make the point that the Asgard were cautious about who they shared tech with.

That works fine for my purposes, actually! It's obfuscated in technobabble anyway. *g*
