It was a wonderful exchange, and I'm still overwhelmed by the 29!! fics in it, with a tremendous range from a delightful number of short, light pieces to one that's 20K and another 16K! Truly, what a good exchange! I still have a lot to read, and I'm eager to run it again next year.

I have not yet got around to replying to things, but I am ALL OVER the idea of the Angstier version in which EvS ends up avenging him and returning the cigarette case to Algy, I'm just saying ...

Will hopefully manage to comment properly on “Physical Proof” at some point soon (I enjoyed it very much!!) but just wanted to say that the phenomenon of supercooled water/nucleation is surely the most interesting thing I’ve ever learned by accident through fan fiction, definitely had to do some frantic Googling after hitting the relevant paragraph in that one :-D

Fanfic: it's educational! I knew about this from a perhaps even more high quality source, a comic book adaptation of a Jules Verne book that I read when I was a kid, but some time later, I actually knew someone who observed this happen on a lake (basically just as described in the story, as she described it to me), so it really is physically possible outside of a controlled setting, even!
