Assuming that ALL OF THEM is not a useful answer, I chose three that I haven't yet really seen anyone do and which particularly appealed. But really my answer is ALL OF THEM, IMMEDIATELY.

I mean, consider the bit where Biggles literally walks right into von Stalhein in the airport in Follows On, if that was them both getting into the same elevator and then getting stuck, that would be EXCELLENT: both of them frantic to carry on with their schemes, neither of them able to go anywhere, and with nothing to do but alternately fret at trying to make the elevator work and flirt with each other.

I think Biggles should faint after pushing himself too hard, because honestly, the things he puts himself through are just ridiculous.

And forcibly addicted to a drug is one of those ridiculously iddy storylines that I associate with things like Man From UNCLE and Starsky & Hutch and which all adventure story protagonists should have to cope with at least once.

AAAHHH. I was struggling to think of a way to do this that would work, but that is glorious. (Extra bonus: EvS probably knows 12 ways to use improvised spycraft to escape from a stuck elevator, but can he get it to work with Biggles watching, and does he really want to?)

I could imagine that Biggles doesn't care much for elevators, since they go up in the air but have very poor aerodynamic qualities...

YOU'RE RIGHT, being on the top floor of a building with absolutely no way to fly down must be very uncomfortable for him...

(Algy will never entirely be over the elevator ride in which Biggles spent the entire time complaining that it's a terrible violation of safety procedure that lifts aren't supplied with brollies and SOMEONE SHOULD DO SOMETHING IMMEDIATELY.)

I ticked ALL THE BOXES.
Handcuffs are a fun thought... and stuck in a lift. Mmm. Boggling mind.
When I eventually complete the 2 fics I currently have ongoing, I might try the lift and handcuffs obe together... bored Algy in a lift hancuffed to AN other....
