Free book? Free book!
The Gatekeeper series collection is free this week on Amazon in case anyone wants to grab it there!
.... Not gonna lie, this is a shameless attempt to collect another rating or two to minimize and/or cancel out the one-star rating that is currently the only one it has. I don't normally pay that much attention to review ratings - onto each book a few one-star reviews sift down, like critical dandruff - but in this case it's literally the only one and it looks kind of bad. Therefore, free days through Sunday!

.... and yeah, when the ability to leave reviews without ratings first appeared on Amazon, I was happy about it - because as a user, I like the ability to quickly click a thing - but over time ... yeah. I do think it's caused more low ratings and also a sort of runaway popularity effect with bestsellers quickly going up by hundreds of ratings, that just makes the gap look worse between those and the ones that only have a few.

That sucks! May you garner many better ratings and also some actual (positive) reviews.

And thank you!

I never trust one-star ratings without reviews. I'm inclined not to trust any rating without a review.

Yeah, having ratings without reviews on Amazon is a very mixed sort of experience. I do actually kinda like having the option as a reader/buyer, but ... yeah. There's no accountability at all.
