Dear Chocolate Box Creator
Thank you so much for making something for me! I am very easy to please; just give me something for one of my requested pairings and I'm sure I'll love whatever you create. Prompts are for suggestions only. I requested fanfic for my main gift, but if you would like to make me an art treat, I would welcome it!
General likes: hurt/comfort, fluff, angst with a happy or at least hopeful ending, found family, curtainfic/domesticity, characters hanging out together (getting drinks after work, playing games, etc), casefic/action, presumed dead, missing scenes, futurefic, loyalty, antagonists/rivals/enemies to friends, bickering/banter, AUs, forced cohabiting (tents, hotel rooms, only one bed). In general, two of my VERY favorite things are characters evolving from being hostile to friendly, with all the intermediate steps in between; and characters being "weird" about each other in a slightly codependent/up-in-each-other's-space way that outsiders don't quite understand. I also really love tropey fic (sex pollen! bodyswap! soulbonding! amnesia! werewolves!). I don't mind violence/gore/horror, but want an optimistic ending.

I just loved them so much. I loved watching them figure out how to be family with each other, still mourn the road trip we never got to see, and would love anything about them. I am especially fond of fic in which they bond or just hang out, and fic that puts them through the wringer and forces them to recognize how much they've come to care about each other -- fic in which one of them is hurt or missing or presumed dead, say. I would love anything from their road trip, or the between-seasons period when they're tentatively starting to bond with each other, or missing scenes from canon. (A little more of Ward patching Danny up in season two, or visiting him in the hospital? More bonding after Harold's second death in season one, with concussed Ward and everyone trying to figure out how to cover up a dead body?) Ward having to deal with supernatural bullshit is always fun; I love grumpy Badass Normals having to deal with supernatural shenanigans and being annoyed about it.
I also love AUs. Roleswap in which Ward is the Iron Fist and Danny is the one who stayed behind? AU in which Ward was one of the people at the police station in Defenders? Maybe drugs gave Ward superpowers or made him grow wings. Maybe he's part of an experiment that his dad was running. Total AUs are welcome too: dragonriders, IN SPACE, werewolves, historical AUs (they would translate really well to the 1920s/30s, I think, or some kind of gothic horror setting), etc.
Background Danny/Colleen or including other supporting characters is completely fine, btw.
Colleen Wing & Ward Meachum
I would really love to see these two get a bit closer! They actually have more in common than they seem to recognize (abusive & neglectful childhoods, prickly exteriors, a shared love for sunshine Danny). I would really love seeing them in some kind of situation where they have to bond. Maybe they're handcuffed together, or locked up together and forced to work together to escape. Maybe Colleen is sick and Ward is the only one around to take care of her, or vice versa. They could wind up having to work together to rescue Danny, or bonding in the hospital while waiting for Danny to wake up from something or other. Danny and other characters can be involved in the fic as much as you like; it doesn't have to be just the two of them. Ward can be dragged into Supernatural Shenanigans by Colleen just as easily as by Danny, and probably with similar levels of "oh hell no" about it.
As mentioned above, I also love AUs - what about one in which they met under very different circumstances, maybe became friends in season one before either of them got to know Danny all that well? Or maybe Colleen is working with Gao's faction of the Hand (perhaps infiltrating them for Bakuto) and meets Ward pre-series? Total AUs are also great: Ward and Colleen are both supervillains and Danny is their light-side nemesis who tries to rehabilitate them; Ward runs the avant-garde art gallery across the street from Colleen's dojo and they can't stand each other; space stations, werewolves, different times/places, etc.
Jeri Hogarth & Ward Meachum
Jeri is one of my favorite of the Netflix universe's side characters, and I really found her interactions with Danny and the Meachums in season one interesting. I'd love to see more of that! From JJ3, we know that her firm handled the Rand accounts from Danny's return until after IF season 2, so maybe something between seasons with Ward and Jeri having to work together, Jeri adjusting to the new normal with everything that happened with Harold, etc. Maybe Ward and Danny call her from overseas for help? Or she and Ward get dragged into something together after he gets back (all he wanted her to do was put a cursed artifact in a safe deposit box for him!) - I'm sure Jeri's reaction to Supernatural Bullshit would be just as hilarious as Ward's if not more so. It could also be something relatively low-key and ordinary - Ward and Jeri at a fundraiser for Rand, say.

This isn't a hardline DNW, but for stories involving Carol, I am a lot more interested in the period after Carol gets her memories back. Flashbacks and stories that start out on Hala and end up after the movie are fine, but I'd prefer not to read an entire fic set on Hala while Carol thinks she's a Kree. The power imbalance is too uncomfortable for me.
So basically my id for this particular set of character relationships is geared firmly towards absolutely terrible things happening to Yon-Rogg that he probably deserves but also sort of needs to be rescued from. Last year I mentioned that I wanted Carol/Yon-Rogg with the tropiest, iddiest possible vibe - the same also applies to gen and other pairings involving him ... and I still do. Someone buys him at a slave auction! Sex pollen! Soulbonding! Post-torture rescue! AU in which Carol and Mar-Vell/Lawson take him hostage on Earth? Maybe Carol & co. go to the Kree homeworld to help out after the Snap? I really like scenarios in which his life goes to absolute hell after losing to Carol on Earth - he's a mercenary, he's a slave, he's a space hobo, he's on Kree Death Row, he's trying to recapture Carol to win back his place with Starforce, he's chained to a post on Death Planet ...
That being said, I'm more after "redemption arc with possible comfort" than endless iterations of Bad Things Happen To Deserving People. I mean, what really drew me to him and Carol in the first place was that extremely iddy-for-me mix of fondness and resentment, affection and betrayal. Obviously with Talos and/or Soren the affection isn't there (... at first?); perhaps he's forced to work with the Skrulls as some kind of punishment, or they end up reluctantly rescuing him from something. Handcuffed together? Enemy Mine on an alien planet? I am also very delighted to have Carol show up even if she's not a main part of the fic and/or pairing. She's great.
Unlike my other requests, setting-change AUs aren't really my thing for this request (e.g. "they're all florists") because the setting and canon histories are so much a part of the appeal for me. You can always take canon in different directions, though, especially various versions of Carol keeping Yon-Rogg around after the movie, making him semi-consensually help the Skrulls, pulling him out of a SHIELD prison cell, whatever.
I'm also fine with something more low-key. Carol and Yon-Rogg, or Yon-Rogg and the Skrulls, working together with him as an inside man on Hala is a scenario I'm thoroughly fond of. Maybe there's a brief, passing encounter in battle. Maybe he gets turned into a small angry kitten and Carol (or someone else) tries to help out. I'm happy with anything that involves these characters together, as allies or enemies or the awkward space in between!

Monica vs. Sort-of-Evil Space Aliens.
The main possibility that came to mind for this one is Starforce kidnapping Monica, either as an AU during the events of the movie to try to flush Carol out of hiding, or at some point post-movie, perhaps by way of trying to capture Carol. And maybe they get more than they bargained for; Monica turns out to be unexpectedly clever and promptly escapes on their ship, or they find themselves with a soft spot for the tiny hostage who keeps escaping. A frantic Maria and Carol getting to space and finding that Starforce has essentially adopted Monica (or vice versa) would be hilarious. Home Alone on an alien spaceship.
But the real appeal here is just Monica being this ordinary kid/teen/young woman who knows about outer space stuff and just has to deal with it, whether it's being abducted by aliens or having one in her garage or whatever. She could be a college student hiding an injured alien in her dorm room, or working as a SHIELD intern as a young woman and finding herself the first on the scene at an alien spacecraft crash. Maybe Monica finds a small angry space kitten and has to hide it.

I love these idiots in their sewer with their pet pterodactyl. In my head this is always and forever Team Torchwood (with bonus Suzie and John Hart and whoever else wants to come along). I love gen for this team (canon pairings always welcome) but I also can ship them in a loose kind of way in any configuration at all; if you want to go for a complicated poly mess or occasional group team comfort sex or whatever, I'm there for it.
I am here for any and all weird Torchwood cases, especially anything that gets across the show's weird mix of horrible with touches of warm sweetness. I don't mind some body horror as long as it's not extreme (show-compliant/audiodrama-compliant levels are fine). Alien artifacts that do weird or awful things, alien artifacts that actually give them a nice day for a change, sex pollen in the Hub ... actually, cuddle pollen would be amazing - everyone gets agonizingly touch-starved and react to it in their various ways. (Gwen and Jack hugging everyone; Owen & Ianto hiding behind furniture like stray cats ...) Bodyswap. Characters having their bodies changed, temporarily or permanently, in weird and horrible ways.
I really like the characters bonding in their various ways. Send them on a team-building retreat! One thing I really love is people being reassured of their importance to the team and their place on it, especially Owen post-death - I absolutely love fic about undead Owen's team finding ways to include him in team activities, fic about Owen thinking he's unloveable/untouchable and being shown that he's wrong. But having that kind of care and affection for other characters is welcome too, of course - e.g. Ianto being re-incorporated into the team after Lisa & Countrycide. I also really really love characters being cuddled and petted, or coming in from outside, cold and wet, and getting warm and dry again, or patching each other up after a bad mission - that kind of comfort is just endlessly pleasing to me.
AUs! AUs are great! There were some great prompts in AU Exchange last year for AUs in which joining Torchwood also means signing up for something sinister or at least deeply weird (I mean, more so than canon) - maybe you're entering indentured servitude/bondage, signing up for a group marriage, getting microchipped, have to be turned into a werewolf ... I'm also interested in AUs where Torchwood does what Torchwood does but it's something other than aliens - perhaps they're ghost hunters, demon slayers, hunting down interdimensional threats, etc. Or any other situation that leads to the characters bonding in their slightly interdependent way - Oregon Trail AU! (Who dies of dysentery? Who kills a buffalo?) Apocalypse AU in which it's them against the world and they end up in a big codependent cuddle pile in a bunker.
Canon variations such as fixits for Exit Wounds, AUs in which John or other minor characters like Beth or Lisa join the team, and that sort of thing are also very welcome.
The Expanse

(Note: assume that I will have seen all aired episodes of the show by reveals, but haven't read the books.)
I loved them so much. Their up-and-down relationship trajectory was absolute catnip for me, with their evolution from I HATE YOU SO MUCH to ride-or-die for each other, from being stuck in involuntary couples counseling in the machinery room to trying to take each other down, and eventually ending up running the station as each other's right hand. They were wonderful and I miss their friendship terribly.
This is a fandom where I'm not that interested in total setting-change AUs because I like the canon setting so much, but altering canon events to take things in a different direction is totally fine, especially fixits for You Know What.
My usual character death DNW doesn't entirely apply here since I don't mind fic that deals with it somehow (e.g. a Five Things fic in which the last vignette is set in the S5 time period), and a slight downer mood is also to be expected; I just would rather not have the entire fic about death and grief and sadness. Ideally I'd rather have it focused on better times and more upbeat endings.
Also, I really love Naomi and Drummer together, whether it's as friends or as a ship, so feel free to include Naomi, or any other characters you like!
Prompts:
- Fixit of sorts in which she takes him up on his offer to be his XO. She can still hook up with Oksana et al and get her own command after! I just want to see them take on Marco together. This doesn't need to be a big AU or go all the way up through the fight with Marco; any quiet little moments on their ship or bits of action or h/c or anything like that would be delightful.
- Another fixit idea: she shows up with her new ship & crew to rescue him on Marco's ship. Big Damn Hero Camina would be amazing, and I would also really love seeing him interact with her crew.
- Anything about the evolution of their rapport between seasons 3 & 4. Maybe some downtime during their recovery from everything they went through in season three, or working out the dynamics of command. Maybe he catches her in a weak moment with her exoskeleton, or she finds him grieving for his son.
- Maybe the first time they realized they worked well together, during the between-seasons time period? Or their first time "clicking" like we see them do several times in season four, with or without an epiphany about it. They actually do manage to do it in the machine room episode, sort of, but are on opposite sides afterwards for plot reasons. It would be really nice to see their first real teamwork moment after S3.

I'm also interested in AUs where Torchwood does what Torchwood does but it's something other than aliens - perhaps they're ghost hunters, demon slayers, hunting down interdimensional threats, etc. Or any other situation that leads to the characters bonding in their slightly interdependent way - Oregon Trail AU! (Who dies of dysentery? Who kills a buffalo?) Apocalypse AU in which it's them against the world and they end up in a big codependent cuddle pile in a bunker.
Canon variations such as fixits for Exit Wounds, AUs in which John or other minor characters like Beth or Lisa join the team, and that sort of thing are also very welcome.
The Expanse
Camina Drummer & Klaes Ashford
(Note: assume that I will have seen all aired episodes of the show by reveals, but haven't read the books.)
I loved them so much. Their up-and-down relationship trajectory was absolute catnip for me, with their evolution from I HATE YOU SO MUCH to ride-or-die for each other, from being stuck in involuntary couples counseling in the machinery room to trying to take each other down, and eventually ending up running the station as each other's right hand. They were wonderful and I miss their friendship terribly.
This is a fandom where I'm not that interested in total setting-change AUs because I like the canon setting so much, but altering canon events to take things in a different direction is totally fine, especially fixits for You Know What.
My usual character death DNW doesn't entirely apply here since I don't mind fic that deals with it somehow (e.g. a Five Things fic in which the last vignette is set in the S5 time period), and a slight downer mood is also to be expected; I just would rather not have the entire fic about death and grief and sadness. Ideally I'd rather have it focused on better times and more upbeat endings.
Also, I really love Naomi and Drummer together, whether it's as friends or as a ship, so feel free to include Naomi, or any other characters you like!
Prompts:
- Fixit of sorts in which she takes him up on his offer to be his XO. She can still hook up with Oksana et al and get her own command after! I just want to see them take on Marco together. This doesn't need to be a big AU or go all the way up through the fight with Marco; any quiet little moments on their ship or bits of action or h/c or anything like that would be delightful.
- Another fixit idea: she shows up with her new ship & crew to rescue him on Marco's ship. Big Damn Hero Camina would be amazing, and I would also really love seeing him interact with her crew.
- Anything about the evolution of their rapport between seasons 3 & 4. Maybe some downtime during their recovery from everything they went through in season three, or working out the dynamics of command. Maybe he catches her in a weak moment with her exoskeleton, or she finds him grieving for his son.
- Maybe the first time they realized they worked well together, during the between-seasons time period? Or their first time "clicking" like we see them do several times in season four, with or without an epiphany about it. They actually do manage to do it in the machine room episode, sort of, but are on opposite sides afterwards for plot reasons. It would be really nice to see their first real teamwork moment after S3.
- I like the recurring theme of having drinks together as a metaphor for the evolution of their friendship, and I would love to see another moment like that in the between-seasons era or during early season four.
