Alaska: come for the scenery! Stay for the OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT ON THE WALL.

I have no explanation for these, but they look alarmingly 3D. I don't think I need that much realism in my flying egg wall murals.
Continues under the cut with some more pictures and also insect references.
This entire place has some of the weirdest decor I have ever seen. Half of it is painted like clouds, including this vertigo-inducing kitchen:

Just in case you ever wanted to experience the feeling of cooking while standing on a misty mountaintop in the Himalayas! Including the sense that you could fall off at any moment.

And everything else is painted black: walls, ceilings, fixtures.

Then we got into reading the reviews.
Make sure your expectations are LOW if you have any plan of staying there.
Not concerning at all.
Need to update restroom Information
... or that.
Samantha needs to fire her cleaning staff but other then that a good place to stay.
Definitely what you want to hear!
As other guests have noted linens/pillows severely needed updating, but as we were staying 19 days it was easy enough to go and purchase what we needed at Walmart.
There were earwigs accessing our unit from somewhere, climbing walls, on to us, in the kitchen sink, dropping from the ceiling. I've never even seen them in AK and we couldn't figure where they came from.
NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOOOOOOPE.
I'll just leave you with this final view of the flying eggs, which makes it clear that they're attempting to escape, and who can blame them.

I hope they make it.

I sort of do and sort of don't, because the idea of having them flying around unsupervised is also worrying.

They're probably just looking for somewhere to hatch. I mean, does that look like a suitable juvenile-rearing environment?
