LOL I WANTED TO SAY 'ELIOT POV IS COMING AND IT'S GREAT'

Like you said in the other post, Eliot is the character kind of off on the sidelines who's also getting the big heroic becoming-a-King plot, which is often the focus of these kinds of fantasy books. And his story does get told. But what winds up being the focus of the whole series is very different to me than LOTR, HP, Narnia, &c (but that does get rather spoilery).

Eliot's chapters in this book, now that I'm a bit further in, are such a delight - it's a welcome sprinkling of lightness in a book that's pretty heavy otherwise (though I am starting to have a rather horrifying guess about where Eliot's plot thread is going that I really hope isn't true).

But yeah, I'm also glad we're seeing much more of Janet in this, since she was hardly in the previous book at all!
