Webcomics: Homestuck

You guys you guys! Homestuck is updating again!

Has anyone read it?

Does anyone want to talk about it?

My thoughts at the moment (besides Yay Homestuck is back!) are mostly HUSSIE IS SUCH A TROLL OMFG.

(Not that kind of troll. Though maybe that too, who knows?)

So all of Team Good Guy is dead now except for John? Or mostly dead, since there is still an act to go.

I'm also glad that we aren't having a mega-mega-update dumped on us all at once, but will get it parceled out in dribs and drabs (which will save me from spending a solid two days reading it, I guess).

Thoughts? Speculations?

I just have to keep repeating to myself, "It's comics. Nobody is ever REALLY dead in comics."

(My kid is now reading it with me, we've just had a conversation about whether she wants to read the update. "Well, you know how sometimes in Homestuck a lot of characters die really fast?"

"Yeah?"

"So, I just want you to be ready for that."

"What, does, like, EVERYONE die?"

"Uh. I think you should be ready for that."

"Really?"

"Uh. Yeah.")

.... hahahaha oh dear. Poor kid. (Poor us too!)

There's a note on the main page that he didn't want this to be the point where he went to hiatus. PROBABLY GOOD, YES.

But yeah, there are about a half dozen canonical ways to reset reality and/or bring back characters, so not only are they not dead 'til they're cold and dead, they're not dead 'til the universe has winked out of existence (and possibly not even then!).

Or so I keep telling myself.

I'm excited that it's back, but my enjoyment is somewhat hampered by the fact that I don't remember much of what was going on. XD Once everything's over I'd like to go back and read it through from the beginning, but I'm also not sure I'll ever have time for that...

Ha, yeah -- when I clicked on the new pages, I had COMPLETELY forgotten where everyone is and what was going on! I kinda meant to do a reread before it started updating again, but, ha, NO. I think a complete reread would be really fun, but yeah, it's such an amazing time commitment.
