Recs part 2: Captain America fanstuff on Tumblr

One of the things I find most fascinating about being in a Tumblr-based fandom for the first time ever is how much hybrid fanstuff there is -- fanart with mini-fics attached, collaborative fanfics that grow one reblog at a time, creative what-ifs that are suspended somewhere between meta and fanfic, etc. I thought about trying to organize the links below according to the above categories, pairing/character, etc, but instead decided to just throw them together in a giant mess, rather like Tumblr itself. Most of them are Bucky-related; I think no one will be particularly surprised at this point. Movie spoilers abound.


ifeelbetterer has a wonderful array of Winter Soldier ficlets, featuring nearly all characters and pairings (plus teamy/friendshippy gen). A couple of my very favorites are this one with everyone hiding out at Sam's place (which was how I found out about this author; this was recommended to me in a past post, though tragically I can no longer remember who rec'd it, but THANK YOU), Tony's reaction to finding out Bucky killed his parents (possibly not canon, but quite persistent fanon), and past!Bucky meets Winter Soldier!Bucky.

Winter Soldier-era Bucky in a shipping container - there is NOTHING THAT IS NOT WRONG about this ficlet, but in a very, um, canon-accurate way. This made me want Bucky to have a MILLION HUGS FOREVER.
