Now that I've fallen hard for something that's mostly tumblr-based, I'm not really sure whether to consolidate my tumblrs and just post/reblog everything to one tumblr again. I'd originally created a separate fannish tumblr because I didn't want to subject everyone following me to a fanpocalypse whenever something new and shiny came along, but that was back when I originally thought I was going to be using my tumblr to post mostly original art and other "pro" stuff. But that's not what I'm using it for; it's mainly reblogs anyway, and I've been posting my fanart there anyway (when I have fanart) -- so now I'm torn. Talking about stupidly geeky stuff is a big enough part of my life that I've never been terribly successful at creating specifically geeky spaces and keeping my real life out of them; that's why this, the Sholio journal, has become my main journal and my realname journal gets posted to maybe three times a year. So I'm tempted to just reblog Captain America and White Collar stuff to my main tumblr along with whatever else catches my eye; putting the fan stuff elsewhere is starting to feel like an entirely arbitrary distinction anyway.

I don't do Tumblr, so I have nothing to add there, but I do appreciate it when people repost their Tumblr posts here.

Oh yeah, definitely - especially any meta/fic type of stuff that I create. I don't ever want Tumblr to be my main repository of thoughts, because it's terrible for that. (I've posted a bit of fanart there lately, but I plan to repost it here as soon as I have enough of it to make a proper post.)

I do tend to worry about boring people by blogging the "wrong" content. (Yeah, I don't know.) But, for me, the geeky fan and the anti-oppression feminist are so intertwined that there's no point in trying to keep them separate.

I have no trouble following both your tumblrs, but nor would I find it a problem to see it all from one. So, uh, do what you want. There, so helpful.

No, it's helpful! :) And yeah, I know what you mean - I worry about annoying/alienating people, but on the other hand, my tumblr is for me, so I keep reminding myself that it should be okay to post what I want there. (And ditto for my LJ/DW, on which I also feel guilty about nattering on about my fannish obsessions -- but people can always not read it if it bothers them.)

So basically, yeah, what you said!

It's laylainalaska.tumblr.com. Right now it's mostly Captain America stuff interspersed with a few reblogs of other things that caught my eye plus an occasional art piece or two. Hopefully it will eventually be weighted more toward art (that was my original idea for it) but right now it's about 90% Captain America movie. :D
