I just read the update text below the last Homestuck update (there's nothing new, don't panic) and discovered that he's not planning on updating again until he's finished it. AAAAAAAA! I mean, it's probably a good decision since he's clearly getting into the endgame of the comic and probably wants to have the option of changing things if they don't work with the revised versions of the end stuff, but still -- AAAAAA! It might be awhile, because he says in the text that he plans to do several more sub-acts and then a whole 'nother act, so basically we're going to wait for months and then get all the rest of Homestuck in one ABSOLUTELY GINORMOUS, probably graphic-novel-sized update. As delighted as I'm going to be to find out how it ends (probably in some unbelievably bizarre way, based on the entire history of the comic so far), I don't know how to feel about this. Even though I've only been reading the comic for about a year and a half, it's such a unique experience that not having any more Homestuck ever again is going to be very weird.

He might still space out the updates once he finally posts them, even if he has them all done.

Either way, I'm kind of glad about the decision, because when there's long gaps between updates, I tend to forget what's been going on and have a harder time following it.

Oh, that's a good point! I kinda hope they're not all posted together, because that's going to be a HUGE update and I think it would be a lot easier for me to read it (and perhaps more emotionally satisfying) if it's not going to be four solid hours of reading. ^^;; When I get behind on Homestuck and have to catch up, I often skip stuff since there are so many characters and I'm more interested in some than in others. But I don't want to rush through the ending; I want to savor it!
