Homestuck in a nutshell

My sister and I were emailing back and forth about the latest Homestuck update, speculating on how Gamzee can jump around in spacetime like he does.

Her: Well, yes, we know THAT he can. But we don't know HOW he can. I think the explanation is basically "clowns."
Me: ... I think you just described the plot of the entire series. XD

LOL But yeah, I mean, character!Hussie even says to Caliborn that there is basically no explanation for Gamzee, so "clowns" is pretty much it.

I loved this update, though. Especially the shot on Gamzee hugging baby Calliope and they're both smiling. Nawww, Gamzee, you ridiculous motherfucker.

I think this was my favorite update in awhile. The baby cherubs were soooooo cute. XD

I've been enjoying the ~*~worldbuilding~*~ (insert Caliborn's happy face here) info dump in general. And the interfishin. XD (I was glad to see Feferi and Nepeta back, even if they're just cosplaying with Tavros in the corner.)

I don't really care about his abilities - I've given up on following the whole plot long ago - but I do hope we get an ending/explanation of some sort for Gamzee<>Karkat

I don't think there's a whole lot of mystery; I think they just kind of ... broke up? But hopefully there will be some emotional follow-through when everyone is finally back in the same place.

I interpreted it at least partly as Gamzee giving up his relationship with Karkat for clown stuff (meeting with his ancestor, the cherubs etc.) But then, it's Gamzee, who knows why he does anything ;)
