Were you born in Alaska?

Yes. I was actually, quite literally born in a log cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was 1976, and my parents were true-blue hippies who'd moved to the woods and then got pregnant out there. My mom had no prenatal care (she visited a midwife once during her pregnancy to get checked up) and she delivered me in their little cabin, miles from the nearest neighbors, with my dad as the sole attendant.

... and afterwards they almost killed me because they had no idea how to take care of a baby, but that's another story, I suppose. *g*
