Carnivale again (or: now I am all flaily)
... WHAT DID I JUST WATCH. 0.o
My emotions regarding this show are so CONFUSING! On the one hand, there is so much of it that leaves me annoyed or bored or experiencing massive levels of DO NOT WANT. And then (somewhat more rarely) it'll have a scene that hits my buttons totally!
Sometimes all of this happens in the same episode.
And then there is 2x09, which I'm pretty sure I don't have words for. Well, I do have words, and they are mostly capslock, and not necessarily happy capslock either. Spoilers!
THEY TARRED AND FEATHERED HIM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
... aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH.
Caps lock cannot convey my utter DO NOT WANT!
On how many shows do you have to worry about your favorite character being TARRED AND FEATHERED (THEY BURNED OFF TIM DEKAY'S FACE, THIS IS SIMPLY NOT ON) and left to die of dehydration and being entirely covered with 4th degree burns in the desert? THERE WERE VULTURES! aaaaaaaaaaaaagh NIGHTMARE FUEL.
(I'm still not over this, obviously.)
(It doesn't help that the burned-to-death makeup was HORRIBLY CONVINCING.)
Also: OH LIBBY. "I'll stop dancing, I'll do anything you want, please don't die." LIBBYYYYYY. ♥
And yet. This is one of the only episodes of the show - maybe the ONLY episode of the show that's left me with all happy feelings at the end! GN. BUTTONS PUSHED. The whole EVERYTHING with Ben and Jonesy and Libby in the desert. AGH. FLAILY!
I think I will just cling to the end of this episode for awhile and pretend that there are not still three episodes to go, because right now they're all happy and I just want to think of them that way for awhile, before the next round of inevitable GLOOM and DISASTER. *clings*
