Meta Month of March?

I'd be interested in posting meta for the fest!
14 (28.0%)
I probably wouldn't post meta myself, but I'd love to participate in discussions!
11 (22.0%)
I don't know how much I'd participate, but I'd love to read along.
25 (50.0%)
If you'd prefer to vote on LJ (since the above is a DW poll), Trobadora has a poll going on her LJ too. This fest would be on both DW and LJ; you could post your meta wherever you prefer, at either or both sites.
And please spread the word; the more responses we get to the poll, the better we can gauge interest in such a thing! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, comments or suggestions. We're still at the early planning stages, so feedback is important!

survey deadline?
I don't know that I'd be interested in posting analysis outside my own journal -- sorry! -- but if anyone contributed FK, I'd definitely read it. For myself, my dearest fandoms are long canceled, and most (not all! granted!) of the common interpretation/discussion issues were tooth-and-claw fought to resolution to my personal satisfaction many years ago, so disinterring them can be... gory? Or just moot. "Here's the story of how I thought this interpretation was right, but the entire fandom beat me over the head until I acknowledged I was wrong." :-)
Re: survey deadline?
I hope that we do get some meta for older fandoms - new fandoms have an embarrassment of riches in terms of meta-analysis, new episode squee and so forth, but not only are fans of older fandoms shortchanged, but lots of interesting things can be said about a show from the perspective of looking back on it 10 or 20 years later. So, yes, I do hope that we get some, and I would love to extend our search for meta writers into as many fandoms as possible!

Also, do you mean meta about a tv show or meta about fandom? Because I don't think very much of the meta I post would qualify for a metafandom-style fest. I mostly write meta about specific shows and what goes on wrt what we see on screen, rather than something about fandom itself.

We now have a community with rules and deadlines and such (mirrored on LJ and DW - all admin posts and meta roundups will be in both places:
We accept any kind of meta - specific to a particular show, or about fandom in general. So if you had a post that was, oh, talking about science!fail on Stargate, say, that would be perfectly fine. (At least I'm pretty sure - I'll need to check with my co-mod, but my understanding is that we'll be going for as much inclusiveness as possible, rather than less.)
