sholio | Still saying pfeh to the new comment interface

I went and turned on custom comment pages for my journal, so it's back to the old comment style for me. I don't like custom comment pages. I turned them off for a reason. I vastly preferred the look of the old "default" page, and I had been viewing everything in my style for several years now, so that's simply the look of LJ to me. But it's better than wanting to scream every time I go to open a page, not to mention that loading a page in a new tab makes Safari hang. Thanks, LJ.

Here is a list of workarounds (thus far) for the new comment pages, if you are having trouble with them also! (Hat tip to

aqwt101 for the link; thank you!) If you have been using custom comment pages, i.e. the ones that match your journal layout rather than the plain white ones, you probably won't notice a change, though - those are still the same, for the most part.

Comments are turned off on this post (on both the LJ and DW side) not as any sort of statement *g*, but because I'm leaving for the airport in a few hours and will not have time to answer them. Actually, this is as good a time as any to mention that I'm not taking my laptop with me this time (there's going to be a houseful of family members, and I doubt if I'll have time to use it, so carting it across the country with me seems pointless) so I will be completely offline 'til I get back on the 30th.
