Random organizing tip

I'm on a cleaning/sorting/organizing jag this weekend (CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!) and I discovered something useful: if you're into fiber/paper crafts, those clear plastic document holders that are normally used for sorting A4-sized paper, like these, are absolutely wonderful for organizing things like crochet needles, random scraps of fabric, miscellaneous small scrapbooking supplies and things like that. They close up to keep things from falling out, are see-through so you can tell what's in it without opening it, and are easy to stack or to stuff into a bigger container. I bought several this morning and I've already run out; I have one that's full of needles and crochet hooks (tucked into my yarn box), one has filled up with old Christmas cards and letters, another's been taken over by fabric remnants that I plan to use for making scrap quilts, etc.

... also, for God's sake, self, stop buying Bristol paper. I can't seem to turn around in here without tripping over another 9x12 Bristol pad. Clearly I am not using it at the rate I'm buying it.

I didn't know you were so crafty, so to speak. :) How marvelous to be able to make all those different things. :D I'm going to try papier mache for the first time in over thirty years tomorrow with my kid. Wish me luck. ;->

I wonder if there's a Bristol Paper Anonymous group meeting near you, it sounds like you may need some help with your little addiction!! :D
