Yeah, I'm generally okay with bad special effects, though I find them good for a laugh or two. I think in the case of this show -- and I've only got the first couple episodes to go off of here, so you know, grain of salt and all of that -- the f/x are just the final insult on top of bad writing and bad plotting and all the rest of it. I just went into it with pretty high expectations because so much of my flist seemed to like it, and, like I said in one of the comments above, what it turned out to be is more like a cross between season one Torchwood and a Godzilla movie. I can enjoy it for what it is, up to a point, but I kind of thought that it was going to be something different.
