I'm hopeless; I can't stop creating fic-things for all these blasted challenges. This one is for sga_flashfic's "Strange New Worlds and Alien Geographies" challenge.

Title: Pictures for Jeannie

Spoilers: mild ones for McKay & Mrs Miller, Return
Summary: Teyla wants to share her galaxy with Jeannie through photographs. The boys want to get hit with large sticks, apparently.

Notes: This is a sequel to my earlier story Postcards to Jeannie. If you haven't read that one, although I imagine that most of the people reading my LJ probably have, all you really need to know is that in the Postcard-verse, Jeannie and Teyla become pen pals post-M&MM. This story, like "Postcards", is very image intensive.

Just beautiful. And so sad at the ending. If this weren't a TV show (where most things turn out okay at the end), this could well have been the last thing Jeannie had to remember Teyla by.

It was also very moving that the first thing Jeannie thought of was they were delivering some of Rodney's personal effects. I love to read stories and scenes which show that Jeannie and Rodney are connected again.

Some beautiful pictures as well.

I can't help thinking that the very first thing Jeannie would think of, if a U.S. soldier showed up unexpectedly at her door, is that something's happened to Mer. The love between them is fairly evident in M&MM, despite the rift, and after re-establishing the family connection and finding out what he really does for a living, it seems like she'd worry about him a lot.

OMG, that was so much fun!!! :D I love that kind of thing, the scrapbook thing with everyone's comments. The little piccies from Ronon were a nice touch. :D (Handy, being an artist too, ain't it? ;))
