The Stargate Graduation Party is going wonderfully - gen version here on LJ, and "anything goes", any-pairing-plus-gen on DW. There are quite a few short fics already, and a ton of prompts representing many different characters and (on the anything-goes thread) a diverse array of pairings. (If you're a gen person, incidentally, at this point the "anything-goes" thread has several gen fics and nothing higher-rated than what I'd consider a bare PG, if that -- so you might find something interesting over there as well.)

But then, when I signed up for LJ, I didn't use my account for blogging much for a while - and now I can't live without my LJ for long!!! (Okay, I can live without it - but you know what I mean!! *g*)

Yeah ... I know what you mean! I originally had no desire for a blog, but I created one back in early 2004 or thereabouts to keep my family and friends updated while I was moving back to Alaska. Eventually I tried LJ because it seemed easier and a few people I knew were already on it, but I'd never have dreamed I was going to end up checking my flist a dozen times a day ...

Apparently, we've got to put up with this until early June! If it wasn't so much hassle, I'd consider changing provider. Then again, the customer service is very good with this one, not so with others, and good customer service is important to me! Ah well. At least I'm getting some good days to catch up with things I can't do on the bad ones!!
I wonder if they ever have these problems on Atlantis? One hopes that Rodney delegates the job if they do - or else 'customer service' might be a little bit on the abrasive side!!

There's an amusing fic floating around somewhere in which it turns out that Atlantis does have a help desk and all the scientists take turns staffing it, except Rodney normally doesn't because he's terrible at it ... (Aha, found it!)
