Anyone seen a good write-up for Rachel's talk? I've only seen a couple pictures of her floating around from the con (like all the rest of them, though, she looks relaxed and happy). (ETA2: Found one! No pictures, alas ...)

I'm kind of alternating between total squee at the pictures, and feeling grouchy and sad about not going. On the other hand, it was a gorgeous warm weekend and I got a ton of writing done (finished my Genficathon fic; worked on some original stuff that I'm really happy with). And my amaryllis is blooming. :) So not a total waste of a weekend at all.

ETA: Also, I'm still working on my website, so don't be alarmed if things mysteriously vanish because, say, some idiot deleted half the files. *kicks self*

I haven't seen anything about Sunday at all. I'd love to see something on Rachel's talk she was so lovely last year. I know you must feel bittersweet about the con, but those things are crazy expensive and your gut told you one thing and those instincts are normally good.

Yay on getting some writing done and I look forward to visiting your website when it is done.

*nods* Yeah; in the long run, it was the right decision and it felt very much like the right decision. But it sounds like I missed some awesome stuff! I figured there would be photos, though, and luckily nice people are nice enough to share them. (It's just a shame that Creation doesn't allow video. I really hope someone was able to sneak some!)

I've seen a few pictures of Rachel with fans at her photo op, and there was a mention somewhere that she had her son with her. But I'm curious what she talked about! And I want piccies. :D *is greedy*

Oh absolutely. :) I've relaxed the rules a lot this year (I think I was being unreasonably draconian about various nitpicky things in past years) - you can turn in five stories for the same prompt if you want to! Or get more prompts!

Thanks! I have an idea, it's just finding the motivation to sit down and write the thingie - I keep thinking, 'Bah, still another month - I'll do it next week!'

I have a fic to write for this Friday called 'Planet England' (St George's Day dragon/Brit!slang fun) but then I'll be free from all commitments to go genficcing! apart from the ol' fanfic100, but let's not go there ;)
