Being Human 2x01
It's BAAAAACK!
And it's depressing! *meeps* Oh, they're all so broken. The fight between George and Nina, where you can totally see both points of view and they're both hurting each other so much without meaning to ... oh. But I loved how they were both able to overcome their hurt and betrayal and guilt to support each other in the end.
The new bad guys are very creepy. I'm not sure how I feel about this season's vampires yet (Ivan and Daisy, was it?) but I'm interested to see how they're going to develop.
I love how Annie is continuing to blossom -- though I was expecting things to go horribly, horribly wrong with Saul, and I'm very curious where they're going with that. (Is he with the baddies? Was that who he called? Or is there something else up with him?) And I love how they all come together at the end, despite everything that divided them during the episode -- Mitchell's still the protective big brother, and Annie's making tea for the whole neighborhood now! d'awwww.
"You're not solid, you're squishy..." *hee*
Oh! And I loved how Nina's nudity during her transformation was handled in a very non-exploitive way -- very matter-of-fact and not at all titillating. Oh, show. :)
It's just so lovely to see them all again! My only real complaint is that the episode felt kind of slow to me -- even a little draggy in places. I kept wanting less angsting and more plot, especially more of the three (now four) of them interacting. But last season took a little while to hit its stride too. And I'm delighted to be getting a regular fix again.
Also, I didn't watch the preview at the end, so please don't spoil me for it. :)
