IMDB says they did! I really hope it goes ahead and gets made ... and I also hope that they come up with more character-focused plots if they do. (Wow, what a tremendous load of fan expectation they'd be under ... talk about pressure, and feeling like you can't mess with the characters! Though, they killed Amanda in the movie and gave us canon Spock/Uhura, so perhaps that last bit isn't a problem!)
