Very quick drive-by booksquee
See, this is why I love not being spoiled for books!
I'm reading Tobias Buckell's "Ragamuffin" and get to the middle of the book and EEEEEEE! Nanagada! :D :D :D
It was obviously in the same 'verse as "Crystal Rain" and the same approximate time period, but from the blurb and the first part, I thought it was basically unrelated, except for general continuity. After finishing "Crystal Rain" I'd stalked his website hopefully to see if any of his other books were a sequel, because I desperately wanted to know what happened next, but I'd gotten the impression that the only other books available were following different sets of characters in the same 'verse, as some SF authors do.
But halfway through the book, bam! we're back in Nanagada! Pepper! John! Jerome! Squee!
Now if they can just manage to not die. DON'T SPOIL ME. *bites nails, goes back to book*
